And this moment of insomnia that gives her terrible clarity to recall all this is killing her. She would like to stay with the current trajectory of her life but this insomnia is forcing her to reflect, giving her trivial insight that she does not want to think about.The poem used many metaphors that meant something else to illustrate the poets regret and disappointment that she does not want to think about but is forced to because of her insomnia.
